Your text stays on your Mac.

Nothing leaves your Mac

Clippboard only goes online to check GitHub for updates, and you can turn that off.

Clipboard untouched

Text is typed as characters. What you copied is still there.

One permission

Accessibility, so Clippboard can notice your key combination.

Install

  1. Download the latest Clippboard release (a .dmg) and open it.
  2. Drag Clippboard to Applications and open it. It is signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without a warning.
  3. Allow Accessibility when the Welcome window asks. This is the only permission Clippboard needs. It then walks you through adding your first Binding.

Needs macOS 26. Clippboard checks GitHub for updates and installs them itself.

Build it yourself

Needs macOS 26 and the Swift toolchain (Command Line Tools are enough).

git clone https://github.com/matthewpeters-extended/clippboard.git
cd clippboard
./setup-signing.sh
./build-app.sh
cp -R build/Clippboard.app /Applications/
open /Applications/Clippboard.app

Stop retyping the same things.

Free to try. Runs locally. No account needed.
